Textile Fundamentals taught me the foundation for apparel construction including fibers, yarns, fabrication structures, and processing of fabric dyeing, printing and finishing. We also learned physical, optical, and chemical testing, textile labeling and legislation, and care of textile products. Through our studies, I developed knowledge to identify fibers, yarns, woven knit fabrics and, coloration and understand and articulate use of appropriate textiles and finishing methods for specific end uses.
