Personal Logo, TCU Student Uniform, Carry Bag, Fashion Merchandising Major Advertisement, Inspiration Board
Intro to Computer Graphics taught me how to utilize the Adobe Creative Suite software of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. When creating my Personal Logo, I kept in mind that each detail needed to have a purpose. Because simplicity has always appealed to me, I reflected that in my design with clean lines and young, fresh, and fun colors. I chose pink because it was the color of my walls as a child, and therefore my favorite color. It was what I was surrounded by and first influenced to growing up, so it has had a large impact on my vision. When creating my TCU Student Uniform, I strived to fuse the traditional style of a uniform with more modern and exciting trends. By attending a Catholic elementary school as a child, I was required to wear a uniform. Although it was efficient in the way that it reduced the amount of time it took me to get ready in the morning, it simultaneously restricted my creativity in regards to my personal style. When designing a bag for the Carry Bag Assignment, I focused on a target customer of a twenty to thirty-year-old New Yorker. "The Street Chic" would be sold in three different color ways, two being in faux leather, and the other in recycled cork. With this bag in hand, heads are bound to turn. When creating an advertisement for the Fashion Merchandising department, I wanted to feature the idea that professors in the Fine Arts department at TCU have helped me to become proficient in various skills and topics related to creativity and business in the fashion industry. Lastly, at the end of the semester, I created an Inspiration Board to showcase my personal style and the skills I had developed in the Adobe platforms.
