Business Plan:
Formal Hotline
Entrepreneurship in Merchandising taught me about the opportunities, risks, and management problems involved in establishing and operating new fashion enterprises. Throughout the semester, we were exposed to the various steps required to build a business plan, through which we were able to utilize to build our own business venture and plan. The Business Plan assisted in combining the steps I learned throughout the semester and applying it to a creation of my own business with a group of three other girls. As a group, we saw a vacancy in the market for a holistic formalwear rental service for sorority women and decided to create Formal Hotline. In our formal business plan we touch on our business description, organization, staffing and management, marketing, service and product, economic conditions and critical risks, financials, and milestones. Formal Hotline aims to provide sorority women with unique product offerings in a range of rental box sizes to offer dresses, top and pants outfits, handbags, shoes, and jewelry. Our group won second place in the class!
